Using Soulve
How much does it cost?
Soulve is free.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Soulve works in any browser, on your phone or your computer, at app.soulve.app. An iPhone app is on its way.
How long does a mediation take?
Sharing your side takes each person about five minutes. You don't have to do it at the same time.
Which languages does it speak?
Soulve replies in the language you write in.
Do I need to have had a fight to use it?
No. In Talk you can bring up anything: a worry, a conversation you're dreading, or good news.
The other person
Do they need an account or the app?
No. They open the invite link you send them, and it works in their browser.
Can they read what I wrote?
No. They see a fair summary of your feelings and needs, never your exact words.
What if they don't want to join?
They can tap "Not right now". The link stays open, and you aren't told they opened it. You can still use Talk to work out how to bring it up yourself.
Can I forward the link to someone else?
Each link works for one person. Once someone has joined, it can't be used again.
Is it only for couples?
No. It works for partners, friends, family, roommates and colleagues, and adapts its ideas to your relationship.
How Soulve behaves
Does Soulve decide who's right?
No. It never takes sides, assigns blame or declares a winner.
Is it an AI?
Yes. It follows a written method based on the Gottman Method, Nonviolent Communication and Emotionally Focused Therapy. It isn't a person. See what it's built on.
Will it tell my partner they're toxic?
No. Soulve never diagnoses anyone and never uses labels like "toxic" or "narcissistic".
What if it's something serious?
If anyone mentions violence, threats, feeling unsafe, self-harm or suicide, Soulve stops and shows real helplines. See safety.
Is it a replacement for therapy?
No. It's for everyday disagreements. A counsellor or therapist can help in ways an app can't.
Your data
What happens to what I write?
Your words are deleted once you've both shared. Unfinished mediations are wiped after 30 days. See privacy.
Is anything saved?
Only agreements you both said yes to, and your account details. Either of you can delete an agreement at any time.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile and delete your account.
